Ocean wind power: the 'blue revolution' from nearshore to deep sea

China's offshore wind power technology has broken through the 50 meter water depth limit, and the floating foundation design will adapt to water depths exceeding 100 meters, with a single unit capacity entering the era of 20MW. In 2024, the world's first 15MW domestically produced units will be put into mass production, and the digital operation and maintenance system will reduce the failure rate to 0.5 times per unit per year, promoting the large-scale development of offshore wind power towards the deep sea.
